I woke up this morning at 4 am as usual (a bit of insomnia these days) and tried to get to work on some new photographs. Some days / most days I feel like I need a good prodding to get things going. On a less indulgent note, I was just looking at my friend Walker's project entitled: "Going Elsewhere." It's an amazing site and highly worth checking out. Enough procrastination, on with the work

Engaged

Last night I proposed to my girl Robin Morgan. Not being the smoothest guy in the world, I handed her the ring and asked "Well, yes or no?" She said yes and then we took this happy picture in which I look frighteningly like a deranged muppet.

USA FOR SALE?

For the past six months I've been working on photographing a new project that required me to both buy a new camera (Mamiya 7) and to start shooting chrome (for those of you non-photo folks, that's positive film). When I first realized that I would have to buy a new camera, my good friend and fellow artist Matt Sieber lent me his Mamiya 7 to see if I liked how it felt. This was a picture that I took on my first day out and I'm dedicating it to Brian Ulrich as he is a politically minded fellow. I like the picture and if you like it too, it can be yours for $23,002.

Feeling Fucked
